Though the Meltones sang with Torme in the mid-forties, this 1959 recording date was the very last time they got together, with excellent support from Art Pepper and Jack Sheldon.
Terrific selections include MAKING WHOOPEE, BAUBLES BANGLES AND BEADS, WHAT IS THIS THING CALLED LOVE, TRUCKIN’ (fabulous!), SOME LIKE IT HOT, and HIT THE ROAD TO DREAMLAND, among others.
A great, great album: Here in a jacket without fault; record inside – the best Japanese pressing – will play near mint.
Not to be missed. Very hip.
