Description

Melotone 6-11-58 Bob Wills/Sleepy Johnson in Very Good condition.  Plays extremely well, no skips or audible noises (other than the usual static)
Grade: VG+ (light scuffs and scratches, light graying.) Plays somewhere between VG++ and E-. Small edge chip on the A side which is no where near grooves.
Recorded September 25, 1935 and issued on Melotone 6-11-58. This is one of the scarcest Bob Wills 78s and the only time Wills was featured as a solo fiddle player on a 78. The record was cut after Wills' band, the Texas Playboys, recorded a full session on September 23 & 24. Four duo sides were recorded but only these two were issued. The record rarely turns up.
6-11-58 Harmony/Smith's Reel Recorded 1936 From a large collection put together by fastidious collectors.
