Mendelssohn Midsummer Night’s Dream Maag UK Decca SXL 2260 WBG ED1
Jennifer Vyvyan and Marion Lowe with the London Symphony Orchestra and Chorus of Covent Garden conducted by Peter Maag performs the “Midsummer Night’s Dream” by Mendelssohn. An English stereo pressing on the Decca Label (SXL 2060 stampers 6D/5D) the labels are black and silver with “Original Recording by…” at 10 o’clock, Full Frequency Stereophonic Sound fatband and logo, and a groove. The record is of excellent appearance plays and sounds superb with a minimum of surface noise. The cover has rubbed with ring and small creases and there is tape along the bottom and along the foldover on the back bottom. The back has a blue ffss border.
