Mendelssohn: Violin Concerto In E Minor, Op 64- Fritz Kreisler, violin
with the Berlin State Opera Orchestra conducted by Leo Blech.
Victor Musical Masterpiece Set M-19 (4-12" discs 8080/83) in
original dark red cloth buckram album. Extremely rare in
this "z" material pressing with very smooth surfaces. Recording,
made in 1926 (the dawn of electrical recording) captures the
full bloom of Kreisler's unique baritonal sound, Filler: Mendelssohn's
" A May Breeze" from his Songs Without Words, Arpad Sandor
accompanies Kreisler. Mint condition.

From the private collection of R. Peter Munves, who was in the record business as well as an avid collector for over 50 years and has decided to part with his beloved collection. All albums are from the late 20’s to early 40’s, and many are original, 1st editions containing pristine pressings from the golden age of 78’s.
