Description

This is a recording of the great Henryk Szeryung's performance of Brahms Violin Concerto, conducted by Antal Dorati with the London Symphony Orchestra.

The deadwax has the following etched onto it:   Side 1:  SR 90397      A-RFR-1      P17 
Side 2:  SR 90397      B-RFR-1      P17 
This has a dark maroon label.
SR 90000 Stereo Living Presence Vendor Mercury Record Corporation Series.
Pressed in 1962.
This record has been in storage for approximately 25 years.  I do not know how often it was used before this but it is in great condition for its age.
Vinyl: VG+.  There is some faint intermittent surface noise (light crackling), mostly at the beginning and at the end on both sides of the record.  In my opinion it does not affect listening and overall sounds new.  On both sides there are some faint smudges - side 1 more than 2 - but there are no visible scratches.  Both sides are shiny and at a first glance they look brand new.  It has been gently cleaned only with a soft cloth. 
Cover and sleeve: VG+. The cover looks as if it could have been bought within the last 2 years.  The front is still glossy and there is light ring wear on the front that can be seen only if the cover is tilted under light. The white on the cover in the first picture is a glare.  There is slight ring impression on the back and faint discoloration and yellowing from aging (see pictures).  There are slight creases on the corners but no other signs of wear.  I do not know if the inner sleeve is original.  It is off white from age but has no splits, tears or crinkles.
**A note on the back of the cover reads: This Mercury Living Presence Stereo record should be played according to the RIAA standard with a stereo reproducing cartridge having a stylus tip not exceeding .7 mil.  Please see the close-up photo of these instructions for more information.
This record has been in storage for approximately 25 years along with several hundred other classical records.  I am not by any means an expert in record collecting; I am moving and do not wish to keep them.  I will soon be posting more for sale.
