Description

SR90313, Ravel Rapsodie Espagnole, La Valse, Pavane Pour Une Infante Defunte, Alborada del Gracioso; Ibert Escales (Ports of Call), Paul Paray, Detroit Symphony (1963) – This is the Classic reissue – it is NOT original. It is one of the best and rarest of all the Mercury Living Presence LPs.  Produced and supervised by Wilma Cozart Fine, the sound and ambiance are spectacular.  It has a very wide and deep sound-stage with huge dynamics.  This copy is virtually perfect – I purchased it myself when it was first released, and have played it only twice.  The vinyl surfaces are clean, glossy and quiet with no pops, clicks, skips or tics, and there are NO scuff marks.  It is very close to a perfect copy and plays beautifully.  The vinyl grading is mint (M) and the labels are clean with no spindle wear (see photos). The jacket is also mint (see photos).  In summary, this is a beautiful copy of this wonderful golden age recording. Feel free to return for full refund if not completely satisfied.
