Description
One of the greatest heavy metal albums. Fantastic cover sleeve with very mild
edgewear and a modest ring impression top front. Vinyl is in excellent shape with
perfect labels and plays beautifully except for a series of pops at the start of "The
Oath." These are caused by some gunk I found in the grooves which caused a
skip the first time I played the record. I used record-cleaning fluid to break it
down and got most of it out. Now it plays through but there are several pops.
I don't know if the problem can be further reduced. 1984 release on Combat
Records number MX 8011.
Note: All records are packed in sturdy, specialized mailers for LPs and 7-inch records,
with 12-inch or 7-inch cardboard inserts on each side of the record for added strength.
Records without inner sleeves are provided with new ones so the vinyl can be laid on top
of the outer sleeve to avoid seam splits during transit.
