Description
This is the incredible 2nd album from Mercyful Fate Don't Break the Oath, original 1st press on green label Combat, 1984. This is NOT a $hitty reissue or bootleg, it is the real deal. This happens to be the RARE variant with the omitted "P.O. Box 30561" text on the label. These are hard to find, and are believed to be the first run before they corrected the labels.
This LP has many hairlines and scuffs and one small scratch at the beginning of side 1 that can be felt. HOWEVER, I have played this through on both sides and I can tell you that, despite its appearance, it plays absolutely fine. There are a couple ticks and naturally a bit of crackle in spots during the quiet parts, but otherwise this has a great, full sound that you expect from a 1st press! The cover is still in it's original shrink wrap with a price code sticker, with some light wear at the opening and slight overall wear. A small piece of the shrink is missing on the back. Please see hi res pics for details, as they are part of the description. The original lyric sleeve is present in good condition also! Overall, this is a great player copy of a truly landmark album! Don't sleep, bid hard to win and good luck!
