Mercyful Fate-Don't Break The Oath 1984 US LP Combat Records MX 8011: No introduction needed for one of the best and most important metal albums of all-time; the sophomore full-length from Mercyful Fate "Don't Break The Oath". Offered here is a first US pressing on the green Combat labels, with A-1/A-1 runouts. The outer jackets' only flaw is a dinged lower left corner and a superficial crease in the upper left corner that is only visible at certain viewing angles. The lyric inner bag is present and has some of the folds and creases that were so common with this pressing, as they tended to get factory packed in the jackets in a careless fashion. There are also inner bag splits forming on both sides, again a common issue with this pressing and the thin inner sleeves. The vinyl itself is remarkably well preserved, with no hairlines or blemishes; hard to upgrade on this. It goes without saying that every serious heavy music collection needs all the early Mercyful Fate material, including this gem. VG++/VG+
