Description
Here we have a boxed set of Sir Edward German's Opers "Merrie England" pressed/printed by Columbia Records and made in England. The set is complete with six old 10 inch 78 rpm records. I have examined them and cannot find any scratches. All records and sleeves are in extremely good condition for their age. The set comes with a booklet that explains the opera and what each record contains, I cannot find a date anywhere on the box, records, sleeves or booklet. If I say that the performers include George Baker, Dan Jones, Edith Furmedge and Alice Lilley, i'm sure one of you experts could date it. I would be curious to know. The only damage that I can see, is slight water staining to the front of the box which is made of thick stiff cardboard. I'm sure there must be a serious collector out there who is keen to lay hands on a set of this quality.
