Metallica – And Justice For All-  Limited Edition GREEN vinyl (Sold out quadruple LP)

Bought from becausesoundmatters.com.  Limited edition release of 500 to metclub members and 500 on becausesoundmatters.

Details from the website are below.  It has been opened carefully, although the plastic packaging was ripped when it arrived and the sleeve has a small dent/scuff from transit.

I bought the first 4 Metallica albums from the same store – all coloured vinyl – all fantastic.

Kill ‘Em All – Red

Ride the Lightening – blue/purple

Master of Puppets – dark purple

And Justice For All – bright lime green.

They are all 1,000 edition limited release.  All have sold out and all are hard to come by.

Metallica's 1988 Breakthrough in a "Louder Faster Heavier" Box!

Metallica's 1988 release ...And Justice For All is the thrash giants' commercial breakthrough. It was Metallica's first album to reach the Top 10 (#6), first to earn a Top 40 single ("One"), and first to win a Grammy Award ("One"). Having gone platinum in just nine weeks, ...And Justice For All has since sold over 8 million copies in the U.S. alone.

The album is the band's first without original bassist Cliff Burton, who passed away in 1986 when the band's tour bus overturned in Sweden while the band was on tour promoting Master of Puppets. Seldom has a band recovered from such tragedy with such a triumphant statement of power, aggression, speed, and heightened social awareness. Replete with stunning riffs and immense songwriting, ...And Justice For All is a landmark record in every sense.

This Deluxe Vinyl package features four 45RPM 180-gram LPs pressed at Pallas- the world's premiere pressing plant... on a one time limited edition Green vinyl pressing of 1,000.

"If every record sounded half as good as the 45rpm four-LP box of Metallica's fourth studio album...hi-fi systems would still be as popular as MP3 devices. An eight-times platinum album and musical benchmark that's now infinitely bettered, this the kind of release that has the potential to demonstrate audiophile merits on a wide scale. While the production has always been flogged for overall dryness and percussive static, such concerns prove unfounded here. Save for relatively indistinctive bass, every facet of Lars Ulrich's drum kit to the amount of pressure applied to guitar strings is heard and felt. Instrumental images are lifelike. Depth and physicality create 3D soundscapes. Titanic."
-Bob Gendron, The Absolute Sound, February 2009
