Description
Metallica Frankfurt 84 red vinyl white label rare rock heavy metal vinyl record.
For sale is an extremely scarce copy of Frankfurt 84 recorded when supporting Twisted Sister in Germany. This red version is 1 of the 50 copies made at the time!
Matrix numbers read M-1/A and M-1/B both sides also have small etch marks where something was scratched in and covered over.
Please see description below and please read carefully as I have tried to go into as much detail as possible to give a true description of this record
The cover as can be seen in photos does show a fair amount of rubbing to spine and bottom edge. This however is just rubbing and the cover has no splits and tears and still seems very strong and sturdy. The front cover has a small scuff marks and what appears to be some small spots of residue from where a sticker once was in the top right Corner. There are a couple of creases from being handled that can be seen in the photos. Some light wear to cover seen in bright reflective light however cover is clean and very presentable. Back cover again has a few light crease marks all very minor and sticker on top left. Other wise back cover is clean and very presentable
Inner sleeve which is just a plain sleeve has little tape mark on bottom edge. Have left item as bought but can happily place in new sleeve if requested.
Vinyl -
On a visual inspection under bright light I have graded as vg+ as there are signs of light superficial wear (from being removed from sleeve and some playing) and some light marks seen on both sides. Some marks only seen in bright reflective light and a few marks can be seen in regular light. The record has been played but clearly also looked after!
When tested this was how it sounded on my record player
Both sides play great without any skips or jumps. Tracks play nicely and details for each track follow
The record has only been cleaned manually and a professional deep clean would most likely improve some of the light noise below

Track 1
Noise in dead wax then track one light crackle and noise can be heard. As this is a track with mostly just crowd noise the noise is noticeable but not overpowering
Track 2
Minor noise at start then very faintly heard in some areas
Track 3
Minor noise at start then some light crackling which can be heard
Track 4
Light crackle/background noise can be heard in areas but in heavier areas the noise cannot/barely be heard
Track 5
Starts with a crackle when crowd is heard then crackle/background noise only very lightly heard in some quieter areas
Track 6
Light crackle heard at start and a few very light and minor pops in the background. Crackle/noise then only heard in some quieter section and very faintly is some heavier areas
Side B
Track 1
Light crackle heard at start and only heard in some quieter passages
Track 2
Street with light crackle when audience can be heard. Track starts with light crackle then only heard in quieter areas and extremely faintly in a few heavier areas
Track 3
Starts with light crackle and can be heard lightly until track fully begins with all instruments coming in together then heard faintly very occasionally
Overall this is a great listenable copy of a stupidly rare early Metallica live recording.
