Description
This is the original RARE and highly sought after Columbia House pressing of Metallica Master of Puppets on 1986 Elektra Records. As most everyone knows, this is THE copy to own for its far superior sonic qualities, because of the omission of the $hitty "Direct Metal Mastering", which compressed the sound and killed the real mix achieved in the studio. The drums sound like thunder and guitars are just crushing on this version, believe me I've owned it for years along with many other versions. This is an extra which is why it's being sold. The LP has a few very faint sleeve scuffs and a couple hairlines that shouldn't affect play. Retains most all of its original lustre and the labels are very clean. The OG inner lyric sleeve is NM with NO SPLITS! The cover is borderline NM with its original tight shrink still intact. This is a real timeless classic and you NEED to hear this mix. A very high grade example that very rarely comes up for sale. Be quick at the end! Check out the high res photos, as they are part of the description. No filters were used and all photos are taken in harsh white light, so as to show any possible flaws. Bid hard to win, and good luck!
All of these LPs are from my personal collection, some I have obtained from others through the last 30 years, done I bought new back in the day. They have been meticulously taken care of, maintained in an upright position in a humidity controlled room in a non-smoking home. They have always been in resealable outer plastic sleeves with the LPs stored in static free inner sleeves. These are not run of the mill, beaten up copies; they are well preserved, investment grade pieces.
