This is Metallica at their very best, everone knows of the album, well, at least the title track. After MFN pressed Kill 'em All (1983) and Ride the Lightning (1984) Metallica moved to record Master and they surpassed themselves not only on writing but playing too. Shame it was the last thing recorded by Cliff as he died during the Ozzy tour promoting this album. This is the Direct Metal Master re-issue (DM on the cat no) from 1987, released at the same time as their first 2 albums when they were re-issued. Pressed on 2x45 RPM singles it adds to the power of the album overall, and should be played LOUD. The sleeve is excellent with a few scuffs and the records are excellent also, a nice addition to any collection.
