Description
Metallica Master of Puppets Original 1986 Columbia House Vinyl LP (NM/EX). The Holy Grail of MoP pressings! Arguably and widely regarded as the best pressing of this amazing album. Not Direct Metal Mastered as the other original US first pressings were. Vinyl (NM) - LP has been dusted, wet-cleaned using the Spin-Clean system, and play-graded. Vinyl looks like brand-new. Not a scratch on it and plays through without skipping and with nearly no surface noise (another wet cleaning would remove any new dust the inner sleeve may add during shipment). Labels have the typo "Produed" instead of "Produced". The sound just jumps out of the speakers on this pressing, especially when played loud! Side One runout: STE 60439A-1A D G1 B8 SL (all etched except the D, which is stamped and very faint, The S and L are interlocked) Side Two runout: (P*AP) - STE - 60439B - G1A D 44 (all etched except the D, which is stamped and very faint, but not as faint as on side one. The first 4 is etched sideways and the second 4 could be a lower-case h, both are rather faint) Cover - (EX) Cover is in great shape. Very minor ring wear and no seam splits. Small crease, not a bend, in the upper right-hand corner, just to the right of the A in Metallica. The original inner sleeve is intact but for a 2" split on one side. Cover, inner sleeves, and LP will be shipped in a protective plastic sleeve. The record will be shipped separate from the cover and in a new generic inner sleeve to prevent splitting during shipment. Original inner sleeve will be stored in the cover.
