I am selling pseudo Metallica Bootleg Metal Up Your Ass
This is a vinyl recording of the original Metallica Lineup recording a demo of what would eventually be released as Kill Em All
Mint Condition, Never Played Red Vinyl
Now a bit of Metallica history for those that haven't seen the VH-1 Metallica Behind the Music - or youve been living under a rock for 30 years.....
Before Dave Mustaine would be fired from Metallica and sent off to form Megadeth.,...(who would be replaced by Kirk Hammett who jumped out of Exodus to audition)
Before Cliff Burton (argueably one of Heavy Metal's BEST Bassists) would leave Trauma and convince James and Lars to leave L.A. and move to the Bay Area....
Metallica was Hetfield, Ulrich, Dave Mustaine and Ron McGovney (who left becuase he apparantly was a wimp who Mustaine picked on - and not that good on bass)
They (Metallica) recorded a Studio Demo in Tuscin CA, and intended their first album to be "Metal Up Your Ass"
(For those that have seen the Tribute Vid to Burton - Cliff Em All - you can hear James tell an audience while Metallica opens for Raven that this is what they intended)
But the evil record company that would sign them - Megaforce (once Burton and Hammett were in the band) - made them change the name of their debut
So - they decided on "Kill Em All" - which is menat to be a tongue in cheek message to the record company itself (again see Cliff Em All - James so sayeth as does the Kill Em All Wiki ....ahem)
Class Dismissed.....
Anyway.....so This Album is that first Studio Recording from Tuscin, CA of Metallica's First songs, with the original band lineup - Hetfield, Ulrich, Mustaine and McGovney - before being signed to Megaforce
Thus - Metal Up Your Ass
(Yes - Cliff is pictured on the back cover - he is NOT on the album - McGovney and Mustaine are....)
After the Napster deal, I hated Metallica (Load didnt help)
But when Burton was alive I was a rabid fan so I am selling a huge collection of Metallica discs
All my Metallica Vinyl is original - first pressing - FYI
Been collecting vinyl for years, time to sell off the extras and copies to make room (and money) for family
