Description
Here we have a Metallica – No life til leather cassette, almost certainly a bootleg, so if you purchase it that is what you should expect, a non-official version of this cassette. Now I bought this a while back in my naivety on ebay, from the pictures I thought it was genuine but since receiving it I’m not convinced, the ‘originals’ pictured online show a yellow tinge to the non-black parts of the label and the cassette though similar is missing the sticker pictured in most genuine copies, also genuine copies inlays are made up of different bits of paper rather than a direct photocopy like here. Definitive info on the originals seem quite hard to find online, maybe a genuine ‘1st issue’ type with Lars’ hand-writing is the only way to be sure! See pictures for further details.
Still looks pretty cool and emulates the original and oh yeh almost forgot plays through fine with the original demo music from those ‘tallica boys in stereo, still sounds awesome to me, fast and raw, but is obviously a cassette of uncertain age and origin, of a demo recording, I presume copied from another source, so don’t expect hi-fidelity sound. So maybe one to have to actually have and play and not worry too much about breaking it or reducing its value, just enjoy the music.
So in summary this is a UNOFFICIAL/BOOTLEG version of the rare cassette, sorry no idea on when/where made etc.
