I am parting with some real gems in my collection this week. I have to pay some bills and unfortunately this is how I have to make that happen. Parting with these is not an easy decision.. I've spent 35 years amassing this killer collection and I'm going to start selling off some to you, the lucky folks who can now proudly own them. Metallica - Ride the Lightning LP. This is NOT a modern reissue - NOT a bootleg - this is the REAL DEAL! This is the ORIGINAL 2nd press on 1984 Elektra records. This is a legendary release, a kult classic for sure!!! If you have the Megaforce issue, that's great, but the consensus on LP and audio forums is that this pressing is the BEST SOUNDING press of this album ever made. I can get behind that, because I have both and I can definitely hear the instruments more clearly and in depth on this release!

Imagine going back in time and walking into your favorite record store in 1984, grabbing this thing off the shelf, getting back into your DeLorean and you arrive in 2020 and open it.... that is exactly what this is like... A TRUE TIME CAPSULE!! This is the nicest overall copy of this record I have found in 35 years of collecting. The LP itself is in stunning NM condition with no visible marks. The LP retains all of its original luster. Labels are clean and with no defects. The cover is NM in its' original tight shrink wrap. There are ZERO signs of wear. I'm not sure if this copy has ever been played! The inner lyric sleeve is present and in EX condition with one small tear on one seam. The whole thing still smells like 1984!!
