Description
*I am currently selling a collection of Heavy Metal and rock LPs, predominantly from the late 70’s to the early 90’s but with the odd outlier thrown in. All well looked after and some real rarities. I combine shipping and always remove the vinyl from the sleeve before packing and posting. Where anything other than a generic white inner is present, the vinyl is always placed in a brand new white inner to preserve the original. Brand new ‘clear glass’ plastic sleeves are added to all LPs. I describe items accurately as I know how disappointing it is to receive a much anticipated record where flaws have been glossed over or gone unmentioned. I try to listen to each record before describing it but if I don’t have time I will listen to selected parts to gauge the level of background noise and I will always listen to any passages where there are surface marks to judge the impact these have. I always give positive feedback after payment so the customer is able to give feedback purely judged on the service once they have received the item. A fantastic copy of Metallica’s fifth and bestselling album.
This is the UK 1st pressing.
The sleeve is in Excellent condition. The glossy black cover retains a real vibrancy and the spine is square and readily readable. Very little handling or storage wear. A very strong example.
The original inners show some evidence of handling but present well with no seam splits. The vinyls are now housed in generic polylined inners to preserve the originals.
The vinyls are beautiful visually - great sheen on all four sides and the only surface marks in evidence are on side three and are only very light wisps. I have listened to the whole of side three to gauge any impact and aside from some very faint background static during the intros to Nothing Else Matters and My Friend of Misery, it plays brilliantly - the almost silent mid section of ...Misery plays without any interference at all and the other three sides play as they appear, in a Near Mint fashion - overall a really punchy playback with great clarity (this album is renowned for it’s incredible production and it really shines through here.). A superb copy of an increasingly sought after LP.

This is an original UK pressing without country of origin printed on the sleeves or labels. The records are housed in printed inner sleeves that contain album lyrics and credits. The labels have the Vertigo swirl design on the 1st and 3rd sides. Sleeves are (probably?) the same as in the Dutch pressing. Sleeves also have catalog numbers corresponding to each record: 510 027-1 and 510-028-1 printed on lyric side.
