Description

Soho Music are proud to present this original UK pressing from 1968 of "Jazz Praises at St Paul's" by the Michael Garrick Sextet - an amazing fusion of jazz and religious music. The album has been signed and annotated by Michael Garrick.  The address to the bottom of the back of the sleeve has been changed by Garrick in his hand.  Comes with original insert.  The sleeve has slight lift to top left of flipback.  Michael Garrick said of this recording:  "The intention is not simply to gee-up religious music, or, belatedly, to make jazz respectable: it is, on the contrary, to draw straightforwardly on the natural resources of all participants so that there maybe some emotional and musical gain."  Disc is VG++. Cover is VG++. On the Airborne Label, catalogue number NBP 0021. Tracks are:
