Michael Gibbs' First Album. Award Wining Rare British Jazz Rock from 1970. Please note that this is the ORIGINAL UK release and NOT one of the later European or Japanese ones. Decca Deram SML 1063 (Stereo) Blue inner. FIRST PRESSING Matrix run out has ZAL 9577P-1W / ZAL 9578P-1W

Starting in the late 60s and continuing into the mid 70s, he recorded a number of highly acclaimed and influential albums featuring many of the most prominent British-based jazz players who, like Michael, were beginning to flirt with jazz/rock. This was one of the first amalgamations of Jazz big band and Rock. It pre dates Zappa's Grand Wazoo by a good few years, What a band it is! John Surman, Kenny Wheeler, Alan Skidmore, Ray Warleigh, Mike Osborne, Ray Russell, Jack Bruce to name just a few Condition Vinyl - Excellent, it looks and plays near mint. No scratches, clicks or pops. Labels show very little evidence of play. Cover - The laminated front cover is in very good+ condition with just a few creases. There is some evidence of ring marking when viewed from certain angles. The matt reverse is clean with the the black on white text easy to read. There are just a few scuffs along the top edge. Inner sleeve - Plastic lined it has some small folds but is otherwise clean and intact.
