Hello. This is one of several, HARD TO FIND items with auctions that start with a great opening bid …check them all out! This item: the EXCELLENT CONDITION, LONG OUT OF PRINT, 1965 Folkways Records LP release by the legendary Michael Hurley entitled "Mike Hurley, First Songs." Folkways engineer Fred Ramsey, Jr. recorded Hurley with the EXACT micophone and studio setup that he used to record Leadbelly's last session -- THIS IS A LEGENDARY RECORDING!!! The record jacket is in remarkable shape for its nearly 40 years of age; no split seams, cuts, or holes anywhere, and rinwear is marginal. Importantly, the rare insert, with the story of the recording, Hurley's biography (up to that point, of course), and complete lyrics to these legendary songs -- is also included, in great shape, having been stored in a plastic sleeve all these years of my owndership. There is a felt pen marking, reverse side of jacket, upper right hand corner, that reads "99" -- that's right, a community radio station sold me a whole box of LP's about 25 years ago, for all of 99 cents each...incredible. The LP itself is in EX- condition; I played it once to record it, extremely clean and quiet vinyl. Please check out my spotless feedback for information regarding how well I will serve you.
