Description

1965: debut album, First Songs, recorded for Folkways Records on the same reel-to-reel machine that taped Leadbelly's Last Sessions.

Recorded in 1964 and released the following year, First Songs is a complete and honest introduction to Hurley. The record touches on all the themes he has returned to throughout his career.

Condition:

Cover: Very Good+ (Goldmine grading) to Excellent (Record Collector grading) with exception of bleaching/fading to spine.  Contains Insert.

Record: Looks as if never played, although with minor pressing blemish on last track on 1st side. This doesn’t effect play. It should be pointed out however, that Folkways have never been known for pressings of the best quality and so some occasional background noise is present. A previous copy I had of this record suffered in this same way.
