This describes the inner sleeve story...
On 1970 inner sleeves, the price went down to $2.00 each. The artists were the same except they dropped Edwin Starr, and added the Jackson 5. And Diana Ross and the Supremes were now separate acts. For joining you would get:
An 11x17 poster
8x10 action photos
A membership card
A welcome letter
A sheet of 20 photo stamps
A Motown memo pad
Other items, like book covers and bumper stickers could be ordered separately...
The Other acts to choose from were:
David Ruffin
Bobby Taylor
Four Tops
The Marvelettes
Martha Reeves and the Vandellas
Marvin Gaye
Diana Ross and the Supremes
The Temptations
Smokey Robinson and the Miracles
Gladys Knight and the Pips
Stevie Wonder
Edwin Starr
Inner sleeve shows a little bit of wear. And the uppers corners on each side are split a few inches or so... But that being said , it is a pretty cool item, and a first, and really not that bad of shape overall.
Cover is in EX condition and still in shrink, as seen in pictures. It is missing a small piece of shrink in the bottom back left hand corner.
It also shows some slight corner wear on the LP side, where the LP comes out...
Original Motown cover that has all of the Jackson 5 members signatures / autograph, of their first names on the album cover that is factory printed in the picture.
Vinyl in Near Mint, it shows little, to if any, signs of play.
Good Luck with this Rare Jacksons piece.
This is True Northern Soul...
