Here for sale is a mega rare original FIRST PRESSING 1991 MICHAEL JACKSON double album DANGEROUS in EXCELLENT condition.
A European (Haarlem Netherlands) pressing of Michael Jackson’s Dangerous with the Side A runout matrix 01 465802 20 9A1 is an original 1991 first pressing.
The catalog number 1-465802 refers to the Epic Records release number, and on the actual vinyl runout groove, it begins with 01 465802 20 followed by the master and stamper codes (e.g., 9A1, 7A1, 5A1). The initial letter and number combinations in the matrix (like 9 and A) indicate the stampers and mothers used during the very first production run in late 1991.
Because it was a massive global release, multiple pressing plates and mothers were used concurrently in Europe to meet initial demand, so many early matrices like 5A1, 6A1, and 9A1 were pressed simultaneously as part of the initial release batch.
This double album is a 9A1 4B1 5C1 and 8D1 , all first pressings from original lacquer masters (please see photo) and was pressed in the CBS/Sony manufacturing plant in Haarlem, Netherlands.
Quite rare to be in this condition.
The vinyl album cover is in excellent condition, with some minor ware, top left corner very slightly worn and please see last but one photo close-up which shows minor crease in the top right corner. Otherwise spine is excellent and front and back are excellent, with minimal shelf ware.
The four sides to Vinyl are excellent. There is very very minimal background crackle or static, please listen to the video clip. Also almost silent between tracks with just one or two static pops on run ins.
The vinyls are Excellent and have only one or two very minor paper scuff marks, which does not affect the sound. I’ve played tested all sides loud and quiet and all sound excellent. I’ve shown a close up of the most obvious light paper scuff in the last photo, taken in bright daylight.
Why buy a relatively expensive modern reproduction when you can have a genuine 1991 original vinyl, which will be worth far more in the future.
Also as a rule the originals have far better sound quality having been made from the original masters and haven’t been digitally messed around with or cleaned up.
