Description
Available for auction is a rare 3 Disc Box set of Michael Jackson's biggest hits collection; HIStory Book 1: Past, Present, Future. with collector's book. Released by Epic Records in 1995, this rare release features his biggest hits never before released in one collection on vinyl and features his first duet with Janet Jackson on Scream. The book contains rare photos, music and song details and lyrics.
Due to the limited number of pictures I tried to capture the condition of both the box, book and the records. Overall, the presentation of the box is in great condition, book is in excellent condition as well as the LP's including the original jackets. Please ask many and question you have. I have recently listened through the records all the way through, and I believe it jumped on only one or two songs "Remember the time" and "I just can't stop loving you" come to mind. My record player does not have a weighted toner arm, so I believe it can be adjusted to not jump. All the other records did not have any issues and sound great. There are no songs that skip. Record one and two were played more frequently by me than record 3.
You will see visible signs of wear to the LPs but all records are playable with the minimal sound degradation from the constant listening. I am not a record collector expert, but these records would probably be considered in good condition with no warpng..
*About the Vinyl LP set
- The records have play wear, with light scratches but no deep scratching anywhere that would cause skipping.
- Any "damage" for the most part is cosmetic as I played these records fairly frequently.
- Records do not have any chipped edges, cracks and lay flat when playing.
- The box is in good condition with signs of wear including rounded edges, small tears at the edges and some tiny dings on the front bottom edge, but overall, still very presentable.
- Front and back of the box do not have any major dings scratches or scuffing. The glossiness of the covers are still shiny.
