Before the glove, before Thriller, and before he was crowned the King of Pop, a 20 year old Michael Jackson teamed up with legendary producer Quincy Jones to create an absolute masterpiece of musical liberation. This is a genuine 1979 US first pressing of Off The Wall, released on Epic Records, identifiable by the FE 35745 catalog number and the authentic PAL 3575 matrix runout code. This particular copy features the original, iconic gatefold jacket design showing Michaels tuxedo clad form against a brick wall, opening up to show full album lyrics and the legendary glowing white socks imagery on the reverse. With the current biographical film generating massive global waves, vintage early pressings of Michaels definitive transition into solo superstardom are becoming exceptionally rare and highly sought after by serious collectors.
