Genuine UK First Pressing | Matrix A1 / B1 | Early "No Co-Producer" Sleeve
Up for auction is a rare, investment-grade copy of the world's most iconic pop album. This is the original 1982 UK First Issue, identifiable by the lack of the Michael Jackson "Co-Producer" credit on the back cover and the earliest possible matrix stampers.
For the audiophile, this first pressing is famous for its dynamic range and "warmth," mastered directly from the original analog tapes before later digital revisions were made.

• Vinyl (Media): Very Good Plus (VG+). The vinyl retains a brilliant original factory shine. Under direct halogen light, only a few light, non-audible paper scuffs are visible. No deep scratches or "feelable" marks. Plays beautifully with minimal surface noise.
• Sleeve (Cover): Very Good (VG). The gatefold is structurally excellent. There is minor shelf wear/whitening at the corners and light rubbing along the edges. The spine is clean and fully legible.
• Labels: Excellent. No writing, stickers, or significant spindle wear.
• Inner Sleeve: Original paper inner is intact with no splits, showing only minor age-related creasing.
