Jacket: VG Gatefold sleeve. Some laminate scuffing on front and inside cover. Back cover shows general wear and some soiling. No writing noted. Back cover does not carry the "Co-Produced by Michael Jackson" credit — this is the recognized first pressing variant. Later pressings corrected this omission.

Vinyl: VG+ Visible light surface marks under raking light on both sides. Playback excellent — very light surface noise. Plays through cleanly on both sides.

Inserts: Original inner sleeve with full lyrics and credits present.

Pressing: Original 1982 US first edition pressing. Matrix dead wax: PAL 38112-2A / PBL 38112-2H. No co-producer credit on back cover confirmed — the key identifier distinguishing original first edition pressings from all subsequent printings of this title. Produced by Quincy Jones.
