Description

This is the original issue of Mike Nesmith’s concept album and book, “The Prison.”  I believe it was also the inaugural release on Nesmith’s Pacific Arts label.  It is the original 1974 pressing and mix of the record, which was radically remixed in the late 80s.  The dead wax reads "101-A-1B" and "101-B-1B."  Included is the original 64-page full-color booklet with the story and lyrics printed (in two languages!) along with beautiful illustrations.

The overall condition is excellent +, with some typical and very light shelf wear.  The booklet has some minor “waving” of the pages (not perfectly flat), which I think is inevitable and unavoidable.  The lower right corner of the box lid is split.  The disc itself appears gleaming and free of any obvious abrasions – very near mint.  It was never played and has been visually inspected only.  Please refer to all pics for condition.

For Nesmith/Monkees fans, this is as nice a copy as you are apt to find!
