You are bidding for an original first pressing edition of Mick Abrahams Self-titled Album
If you are reading this, the chances are that you know Mick Abrahams. On the off chance that you don't, Mick was Guitarist with Jethro Tull in the early days, before leaving to form Blodwyn Pig in 1969. He left to go solo in 1971, and this was the resulting driving bluesy album.!! A great addition to any album collection I promise you.
Before I begin, please note I'm not a record dealer.!! I have recently moved house and have decided that I will sell my record collection that has been sitting in a cabinet doing nothing for the last 40 years !!! I've replaced all my collection electronically, so I'm letting my collection go to those who will collect it and value it more than I do. I give as honest an opinion of the record/condition as I can in simple terms, and not in graded condition that dealers normally do, so you'll need to take what I say in "lay" terms. Please check my feedback on other records sold. You will see that everyone to date has been delighted with their purchases so they must be very much "as described".
Most of the albums that I have are first editions, ie I bought them as soon as they were released. That said, if you require any other info to clarify their autenticity, please ask !! I bought this album in 1971 on release.... before it become the iconic classic it now is.! This is catalogued as ILPS9147. It is on the original Chrysalis Pink green butterfly label
Hopefully I’ve listed all the necessary information below however if you have any questions or queries please ask.
- I would rate the overall condition of this album as excellent. The vinyl is not warped and is in very clean condition.
- The RIM Matrix info is SIDE 1 is ILPS 1947 A-1U, and SIDE 2 B-1U
- The labels on both sides are in excellent condition, with no spindle markings. The inner sleeve is still the original sleeve, a little discoloured,but still in excellent nick.
- Record looks in fantastic condition with no obvious scratching that I can see with the naked eye.
- The sleeve is in very fantastic condition, with a tiny bit of scuffing. Other than that, it's very nearly as good condition. There are some scuffs and wear marks on the outer edges and corners. The spine is A1+.
- As I said, I'm not an expert on record conditioning, but looking at what else is on offer on Ebay, this one looks good !! As a 100% ebayer, I always try to be objectively truthful and honest in all descriptions. Read the feedback on other records that I've sold. I will send out by the best value I can get for the postage charged, and will securely wrap. I will always get proof of postage. but If you want special next day delivery, I'm happy to agree that with you before you send me the payment. The choice is yours ! Paypal only please, or cash on collection.
- If you are bidding from overseas. I will usually send by Airmail and signed for delivery. However, if you want to take the risk of untracked postage, then that's your choice. I have no intention of getting into any delivery disputes. When it goes over my Post Office counter and I get a bit of paper to that effect, then it's yours for ever !!! Please ask me for a quote before paying.
