Description

You are looking at the first hardcore record ever - the MIDDLE CLASS "out of vogue" 7in from 1978!!! This is an original pressing on JOKE RECORDS. The vinyl is in great shape - there is a little surface noise and no skips, pops, or anything like that. The cover is VG+ - there is a little ringwear evident on the back. The corners are a little rough but not bad. There is a slight crease on the lower left front corner. There slight tear at the bottom right of the sleeve. However, its just a tiny tear not a chunk taken out of the sleeve.

Oddly enough, I am led to believe that this copy came from a radio station originally - I am not sure, I paid $2 for it at Reckless Records last century - but there are no call numbers or station logo's anywhere. However, there is a very precise and tiny hole. Its about a couple milimeters in diameter. About the size of the tip of a pen - it runs through the front and back sleeve of the sleeve...as well as the label of the record. It DOES NOT affect the play of the record at all, I just played it and it still rages. It leads my friend and I to think that it was a promo copy given from the label to a radio station or a cut-out copy from a record store (think like how they used to put holes through cut-out cassettes).

Either way, the cover is not in bad shape overall. Just take a look at the picture - its not wrecked in any major way. I just wanted to make sure the super particular collectors do not think they are getting an EX+/NM- copy or something like that. I have graded it at VG+ and you will NOT be disappointed with this record. If you are looking for a mint copy, look somewhere else. If you are looking for an original copy to listen to with a complete, stain-free, crumple-free, and great looking sleeve...you're looking in the right direction. Bid accordingly...everyone and their cousin wants (and needs) this record! CHEERS
