Mighty Sparrow – Tattoo Woman – Hilary LP 3002 (USA)

One of Trinidadian Calypso legend Mighty Sparrow’s rarest albums, featuring the great title track and ‘English Diplomacy,’ as well as definitive versions of ‘Big Bamboo’ and ‘I’ve Got You Under My Skin.’

Condition: Excellent, a great-sounding copy that has been played only a handful of times (please listen to the sound clips). There’s a very slight noise between track 2 and track 3 on the A-side, sounding like a mild cue-burn, but it may be inherent in the pressing; it’s not obtrusive at all, appearing immediately before ‘Big Bamboo’ starts (I’ve included it in the sound clip). The labels are clean, though the flipside label shows a couple of very faint, brownish spots. The sleeve is clean, though slightly dented at two of the edges. No stains, no writing. There is a seven-centimetre (circa 2.75 inch) split seam at the top (please see scans). Please note that the images are partial, I wasn’t able to fit the whole album cover into the scanner.
