Description:

A Rare 1963 EP record titled (A Tribute to Buddy Holly), by Mike Berry & the Outlaws.  An original HMV 45rpm record with excellent black and silver text labels with 4 prong push-out centre, a first issue EP record from 1963. The record is in excellent condition with excellent condition labels. I have visually examined and play tested the record on a good quality record deck, record lies flat on the turntable and has excellent audio sound quality. The front laminated record sleeve is in excellent condition. The labels are in excellent condition very little spindle wear.

Sleeve

The bi-flip-back picture sleeve is in excellent condition front laminated sleeve, no writing very minor signs of ring wear for a 50’s year’s old record.

Label

HMV, black & silver text label MT tax code on both sides of record on the run off groove. The label is the first issue 1963, with 1-R = 1-A stampers. The labels have no writing and minor spiral tails on the 4 prong push out centre, an excellent condition label.

Record

Side: 1   Record has minor light wispy marks from being withdrawn out of its record sleeve seems to have had light playing time.  Record retains its shiny black lustre; record has excellent audio sound quality performance.

 In conclusion this rare record from Mike Berry is an excellent example for a 50’s year old 1963 EP.  Record comes from a private collection, now selling to a discerning collector of collectable records from the halcyon days of the sixties.

The Record Grading

MINT:  The record itself is in brand new condition, I only grade sealed records in mint condition. The cover and any extra items are also unused in As NEW condition...

NEAR MINT:  A nearly perfect record, with only the slightest cosmetic flaw – no audible defect, Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.

EXCELLENT:  The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.  The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional scratch.  Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached.
