Mike Cooper - Trout Steel - gatefold vinyl LP released on DAWN DNLS 3011 in 1970.
This is one of those albums which does not fit easily into any category. Mike Cooper was known on the folk circuit in the 1960's as a folk singer guitarist and with Stefan Grossman and Mike Heron on this album you might think this is the story of this album. But add Mike Osborne (alto sax) and Alan Skidmore (tenor sax) doing some fine work, there is a definite jazz feel to the album. Roy Babington of Soft Machine is there too.
