Description
On offer here is an absolutely lovely(if bizarrely credited) Picture-Disc Vinyl LP release from 1981 on the Dutch Happy Bird label. This was really Pekka Pohjola's LP album, which was previously released on Love Records in Scandinavia and on Virgin Records in the UK in 1977 as 'The Mathematician's Air Display'.And a great album it was too! Here,it is released four years later as a lovely Picture-Disc on Happy Bird in Holland(primarily for the Benelux countries) and is entitled 'The Consequences Of Indecisions' by Mike Oldfield. Some of the track titles have been slightly changed from the Virgin release in 1977,on which Mike Oldfield played and also co-produced with Pekka.Although Pekka does get the writing credits etc on this Picture-Disc release,it seems strange that it was released as Mike Oldfield.Nevertheless,it is fantastic music and a lovely Picture-Disc.
The VINYL is in gorgeous condition(probably played no more than two or three times) and has nothing worse than a tiny bit of dust crackle.I will rate as EXCELLENT+.The SLEEVE does not really apply,as the disc was released simply in a polythene sleeve with a card backing. The card has developed just a few light browning spots,so I will grade as EXCELLENT-.
So,in summary, a rare and lovely release,if somewhat strange.
