Description
Mike Oldfield white label test pressing for The Songs of
Distant Earth album. This is an incredibly rare original
test pressing from the 1st edition of the album which
was originally released in 1994 and pressed
in Germany.
There were rumoured to be just 1000 copies pressed of
the production release of this LP, which themselves now
command high sums of money, in particular sealed
copies with promo stickers which have fetched over
£300.
The Songs of Distant Earth has been re-issued on vinyl
this year(2015). This is an original test pressing from
the only pressing of this album from the 1994 release.
You will be bidding on 1 of 5 known copies of a white
label test pressing that was obtained from Mike's then
manager Clive Banks. This is a genuine and original
test pressing.
The vinyl is mint and unplayed, with a lovely clean sheen.
It comes in a white inner sleeve. There were no sleeves
to these releases.
