MIKE OLDFIELD'S TUBULAR BELLS AN EXCELLENT CONDITION 1973 ORIGINAL FIRST ISSUE VINYL LP, CAT NO V 2001.

This is the rare and not often seen FIRST EDITION of Virgin Records very first Album release, Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield. This first edition has a fully laminated sleeve with the black and white twins record labels.


Musicians: Mike Oldfield - Acoustic guitar, bass guitar, electric guitar, Farfisa, Hammond organ; Lowrey organs; flageolet, fuzz guitars, glockenspiel, ‘honky tonk’ piano; mandolin, piano, percussion, Spanish guitar, motor drive amplifier organ chord, timpani, vocals and tubular bells; Steve Broughton – percussion; Lindsay L. Cooper - string basses, oboe; Mundy Ellis - vocals; Jon Field - flutes; Sally Oldfield - vocals; Vivian Stanshall - Master of Ceremonies; Nasal Choir; Manor Choir [Simon Heyworth, Tom Newman, Mike Oldfield].

Both record labels are in Excellent condition, beautiful super clean record labels.

The machine stampers, side 1, V2001A-2U., side B, V2001B-3U.

Both sides of the heavy quality vinyl LP are in excellent condition, beautiful clean vinyl surfaces with just a few surface hairlines and fingers marks that should disappear after a clean.

The album plays without faults through all the Tracks.

The LP comes in it’s original white record bag, and housed in it’s original and rare fully Laminated Picture Sleeve which is in absolutely immaculate Mint Minus condition. This sleeve is perfect from corner to corner. There are NO seam splits, NO spine wear and NO record storage signs, a simply excellent fully laminated **FIRST ISSUE** picture sleeve.
