Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells LP - 1st UK Virgin, V Rare Misprinted Sleeve
Tubular Bells is not by any stretch of the imagination a rare record, the Virgin issue sold well from the off but have you ever seen a sleeve like this? I spent an hour on the internet trying to find one the same and failed. I don't think I even found reference to one. Somebody really cocked up at the printers and somehow this copy slipped through Quality Control. I measured it and the colour plates are 2mm out of register - the back of the sleeve looks like it was printed in 3D!The record itself is the first Virgin issue with the black and white labels, it's clean and it's in EX+ condition. The sleeve is also around EX+, the corners are sharp, the laminate is good and there are no marks of note.
