Mike Oldfield Tubular Bells Mastersound AUDIOPHILE Half-Speed 1982 original LP

Here we offer a lovely, VERY gently used EX/NM ORIGINAL First Pressing U.S. Epic CBS Mastersound AUDIOPHILE Half-Speed Mastered HE 44116 LP, "Tubular Bells", by Mike Oldfield, issued in this AUDIOPHILE format in 1982.  The COVER is a crisp and sharp EX, with the spine and a very thin strip (perhaps one-eighth of an inch) of the left front cover at spine edge faded by UV light, and the upper left corner tip lightly "bumped". Any other bits of very occasional storage wear are slight to VERY light! The ORIGINAL heavy plastic outersleeve is present and shows light storage wear, but is NOT shown in the photos. The VINYL is a beautiful, shiny NM...NO spindle marks on the labels, and really no evidence of play. The original innersleeve is present, as is the original Mastersound technical information insert, which is pretty neat for the information it provides(SEE PHOTOS). This also happens to be a PROMOTION (PROMO) COPY, as indicated by the classic Columbia/CBS gold embossed promo stamp in the upper left corner of back cover, so it should be a VERY early first pressing...SEE PHOTOS! Offered with NO RESERVE! PLEASE NOTE: In the past 5 weeks, we have sold MANY FACTORY SEALED CBS Mastersound Audiophile LPs. The open copies we are now listing are from the same source, who noted that IF the open copy was played, it was usually a one time play, and that some of them, though opened, were unplayed. Also note that we are VERY stict graders, and NEAR MINT (NM) is the highest grade we ever use for an LP, as we feel that NO open LP can EVER be truly mint. But be assured that our NM grade is pristine! Any open Mastersound LP we list will have the original innersleeve, too!

NON-U.S. Bidders: Please carefully read the following IMPORTANT SHIPPING INFORMATION!

PLEASE consider your bidding carefully with shipping in mind, especially for higher-priced LPs! Shipping/Handling: Please READ before bidding!

IMPORTANT NEWS: Major USPS POSTAL RATE INCREASE - January 27, 2013 - new HIGHER SHIPPING PRICES shown in listing. Please remember we do NOT "make" money on shipping/handling.

I. DOMESTIC:

All domestic LP parcels are shipped in NEW rigid cardboard LP mailers with a proper cardboard stiffener for added protection. For 1 LP:

1. Media Mail (USPS slower service & buyer's agreed risk for loss, damage & theft...USPS 6-18 day delivery average, LONGER for Alaska & Hawaii, despite eBay's optimistic delivery window...please note) w/DELIVERY CONFIRMATION = $3.90

MEDIA COMBINED SHIPPING: Add .95 for each additional LP to the Media Mail base rate of $3.90!

2. PRIORITY MAIL (faster 2-4 day delivery) w/delivery confirmation $10.45 ALL ZONES single LP (recommended highly for LPs valued over $20.00 - safer handling- or if you desire your record to be delivered quickly! If you live in a postal zone close to us, and there is a LARGE price discrepancy between our S/H charge and the actual postage price, we will happily provide a partial shipping refund)

PRIORITY COMBINED SHIPPING: Add $1.75 for each additional LP to the Priority base rate of $10.45!

II. INTERNATIONAL:

For LPs selling for LESS than $24.99 U.S.

1. 1st Class International AIR (usually 7 to 15 days average for Europe/Japan/Australia-NZ delivery...but CUSTOMS can delay delivery) = $17.95 for single LP. (PLEASE NOTE: By selecting this shipping, BUYER agrees to assume ALL risk for loss, theft & missing parcels)

Canada = $11.95

For LPs selling for MORE than $24.99 U.S.

2. REGISTERED 1st Class Mail International (usually 7-15 days average for Europe/Japan delivery) (parcel is numbered, can be tracked, receives some special handling & carries some insurance) = $30.95 (single LP) for Europe, Australia, New Zealand & Japan  AND $24.50 for Canada!

**IMPORTANT NOTE for NON-U.S. BIDDERS**: Any 12" or LP selling for $24.99 or more MUST be shipped OVERSEAS with REGISTERED 1st Class International AIR (signed for & trackable) which is $30.95 U.S. for a single LP! Please consider your bidding carefully keeping in mind our shipping terms!  REGISTERED 1st Class International Air shipping will appear on your INVOICE as EXPEDITED INT'L SHIPPING (eBay doesn't list REGISTERED as an option), but please note that the shipping is 1st class AIR, but NOT really expedited! THANKS! Combine winnings & save on S/H!

***PLEASE REMEMBER*** We do pack and ship very quickly BUT Media Mail is the USPS' slowest service for parcels in the USA, and that INTERNATIONAL parcel shipping time can vary greatly by country. If customs "holds" a parcel, delivery time is even slower, and that is NOT in our control! So please check the date of your payment & our shipping date for a more accurate account of shipping time!

III. PAYMENT: Paypal preferred domestic & international orders!  ALL Paypal payments are expected within 5 days of auction's end unless prior arrangments are made with us! We pledge to ship all items within 3 business days of receipt of payment, and most Paypal payment orders usually ship within 2 days! For U.S. buyers, we CAN arrange payment by merchant Credit Card since we are a shop, but we prefer Paypal...please inquire before bidding!
