Description
I am selling off some old records on behalf of my brother who has downsized to a small retirement flat and is having a clear out to create some space and raising a bit of cash in the process. These records have been well looked after and have always been stored correctly, upright and indoors in bespoke vinyl record cases since he bought them mainly back in the 1970s and 1980s (so obviously these are all original copies and not modern re-pressings) and are all in very good condition. The records are all photographed and are of the actual records for sale so please take some time to have a good look at the pictures, though as I say, these records have been really well cared for by my brother and so have remained in very good condition and we visually assess each individual one under bright light with every single record also being test played using a vintage Thorens TD160 turntable to check for sound quality. Try as we might, we could still be prone to overlooking something so please give us a chance to put things right if there is anything that we do miss as it will be very unlikely to be something which is immediately obvious.
Each listing starts at £2 which seems quite a fair price and the postage is at the cost to us only via Royal Mail, but should you want more than one record, we will very happily bundle them together to save on postage costs and the records will be sent out ASAP and will be thoroughly packaged in loads of rigid cardboard to avoid any damage in transit.
For sale here is as follows: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells - original 1970s pressing vinyl LP in excellent condition. I think that this must be a pressing from later than 1973 due to the label variant but it is certainly from close to that time.
The sleeve is in really lovely condition with only the very lightest of any storage wear. The vinyl is in lovely glossy condition with only the lightest of superficial hairlines visible in bright light. There is one very faint scuff to side 2 but this is really light and has zero effect on the playback.
All in all this a great looking and sounding 1970s copy of this rock masterpiece. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you for looking and please take a look at the other records which we have listed for sale as there is a really good mix of genres and titles from a really varied and very well looked after vinyl collection. There were well over 40 cases full of vinyl records when we started around a year ago though so time consuming a task is it that we are barely half way through sorting them out so there are still a lot more records for sale and we aim to list in small batches around once a month so please keep an eye out for lots more interesting records for sale. Georgina.
