Description
Hello and welcome to myauction for this copy of Mikey Dread's 1981 LP on Plum Records. Iassume this is a very rare version of the LP on Plum Records. Itdoesn't have any information on Discogs and a generalised Googlesearch returns nothing useful. The sleeve attributes it to HeartbeatRecords in Massachussetts, but I wonder if this might be a Jamaicanpressing.
I've been collectingmusic for 45 years, but have recently decided to drastically slimdown my vinyl collection, therefore you might want to check my otheritems for some desirable records from the 1970s through to the 2000s.There might be some other items of interest to you.
I've always cared formy records, played them on high quality gear at low tracking forcesand stored them upright within PVC sleeves. All my listings will beplay-graded with a full description of what I hear. I know what'simportant to you as a vinyl fanatic, and I won't shy away fromtelling you about any defects I find while examining each “artifact”.

Disc Size &Speed: 12 inch 33 1/3 rpm
Cover Type:Smooth thin card
Cover Condition:The cover has a patch of price label residue on its top LH corner,and there a couple of small abrasions. The imprint of the disc isvisible front and back, but this hasn't developed into wear. There issome burring on the bottom edge, and a small seam split in the middleof the spine, which affects the title print on the spine.
Inner Sleeve:Anti-static liner..

Cat No and MatrixNos: TRC 3166; A; B
Record Warpage:none
Play Area VisualCondition: Both sides are clean. Side A has a patch where thevinyl is differently coloured to the rest of it, but this doesn'taffect playback.
Label Condition: Both labels are clean with no spindle marks.
Playback Comments:Both sides play very nicely, with only a few isolated faint clickshere and there. The deadwax sections are very quiet. I haven't heardany other versions of this (as opposed to the original WWIII on DATC), but on both sides the last track cuts offvery abruptly. If I was bringing this home from a record shop todayas a secondhand purchase I'd be very happy with it.

The LP will be packagedin a cardboard mailer with 2 stiffeners, the disc packed outside thesleeve (so as not to cause seam splits), and supplied with a heavyduty PVC outer cover.
