The single was a big hit and won many newcomer awards for its high singing ability. The lyrics by Tokuko Miura, who beautifully depicts a sad woman's heart with an urban sense, and the melody by Tetsushi Hayashi, which evokes Western pop music, are an exquisite combination. Top musicians put their top-notch skills into the stylish and danceable arrangement of this track. Along with Mariya Takeuchi's "September," also written and arranged by Tetsuji Hayashi, this is one of the best city pop songs of 1979. Masaki Matsubara, known as a member of Parachute, played the guitar and Tateo Hayashi provided the solid rhythm. Miki Matsubara・・・・Born in Osaka on November 28, 1959, she made her debut on November 5, 1979 with the single "Midnight's Door - stay with me" and recorded a big hit. Her first concerts at Shiba Postal Savings Hall in Tokyo (Dec. 2, 1979) and Osaka Kosei-Nenkin Hall (Jan. 15, 1980) were a huge success, and on January 21, 1980, she released her first album "Pocket Park," which was much anticipated by fans. Her 5th single, "Neet na Afternoon 3:00," released on February 5, 1981, became a big hit and was used as the spring campaign song for Shiseido. Later became active as a composer, but died prematurely due to illness.
