2 RADIO TRANSCRIPTION DISCS FROM CBS REFERENCE RECORDING / NBC ORTHACOUSTIC RECORDINGOne approximately 30 Minute Radio Program and approximately 25 Minutes of V-Disc recordings on these two 16 inch, black lacquer acetate, 33 1/3 rpm discsTwo sides of these discs feature "The Mildred Bailey Show" radio program from August 24, 1944 starring Mildred Bailey with special guests Vaughn Monroe & Red Norvo.  Music is by Paul Baron & His Orchestra featuring Teddy Wilson, Roy Eldridge, Specs Powell, Al Hall, Remo Palmieri.  Songs include "Please Don't Talk About Me When I'm Gone" vocal Mildred Bailey, "Smiles" with Red Norvo on vibraphone, "Every Day Of My Life" vocal Mildred Bailey, "China Boy", "Nobody Knows The Trouble I've Seen" vocal Mildred Bailey, "Body And Soul", "Straighten Up And Fly Right".  VAUGHN MONROE sings "Vesti La Guibba".  There is no closing on the program however the last musical number is complete.   Approximately 30 minutesThe other two sides of these discs feature approximately 25 minutes of V-Disc recording sessions by HOAGY CARMICHAEL.   All songs are vocal & piano by Hoagy Carmichael.   On one of the sleeves is written "Carmichael V-Disc Tests".  Discs are dated January 14, 1946.  Songs include "Dr. Lawyer Indian Chief", "Everybody's Seen Him But His Daddy", "Rouge River Valley", "Riverboat Shuffle", "Two Sleepy People".  Includes dialogue by Hoagy Carmichael with someone in the control room in between songs, lots of commentary about which songs should be played, etc.  Includes a breakdown of "Riverboat Shuffle" and rehearsals of "Everybody's Seen Him But His Daddy", "Riverboat Shuffle" & "Two Sleepy People".   Some funny comments by Hoagy Carmichael, including "That's Terrible, Christ That's Corny, I Can't Play That Crap" after "Riverboat Shuffle".  The rehearsals and commentary are as interesting a songs themselves!  Includes announcements and
