Description
Includes leader, Davis, trumpet with Milt Jackson, vibes; Thelonious Monk, piano; Percy Heath, bass; Kenny Clarke, drums. Side 1 is "Bag's Groove; Side 2 is " Swing Spring". The name of the legendary Chicago record story, Seymour's, is stamped on the back cover. Very rare edition.
Cover: Fair Fragments of paper on the edges are missing with indications of possible splitting but no actual separation is visible. However, the bottom edge has completely split and is being held together by 2 - 1" pieces of scotch tape. Faint partial record ring is visible on the front cover. On the insert edge top and bottom corners each have a 1" piece of scotch tape. This seems to indicate a small split on the top corner edge. 2 creases on the top insert edge corner. Small initials are written on the corner margin of the back cover. Some aging on the back cover with darker toning along the edges. 1" scotch tape on the spine.
Record: VG+ to Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. The record appears well cared for. There are 2 minor, barely visible rub marks. A few very light clicks a the beginning of "Bag's Groove". This tune makes up the entire side and there are a very few more clicks over the entire track. The same description applies to the B side, "Swing Spring". All the described infrequent noise is light, but audible. In general, the record plays very well and the noise is slight and infrequent as noted. I have accounted for the clicks with the VG+ as part of the rating. I don't want to exaggerate the clicks as they are light and infreqent. Audibly checked.
