DETAILS:

1956 UK 11-track mono LP on the turquoise Capitol label, featuring early 1949 to early 1950 recording sessions that marked a turning point in jazz towards a more stylistic sound. Includes the masterful 'Move' and 'Boplicity'.

GRADING:

Cover - Excellent Minus

Generally very clean and tidy.

Small square sticker on rear sleeve at bottom right with ET on it, probably came from shop.

Slight hint of ringwear on front sleeve.

Seams and flipbacks are all intact with a little light wear to flipbacks.

Spine clearly readable with just a few storage creases.

Light handling wear to sleeve entrance.

Emitex inner sleeve in excellent condition.

Record - Excellent Minus

Labels are clean and tidy.

A few spindle marks but no evidence that it has been excessively played.

Light storage scuffing/hairlines but plays well with occasional light background noise.

Matrix numbers are T1-762-1N and T2-762-1N.

Our grading is based on the system used by Record Collector magazine as described below (We don't sell records with a grading of less than very good).

Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
