Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue
(Fontana TFL 5072 UK LP 1959)
This is a UK original Mono LP pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve. It comes with its original polythene lined company inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has textured black & silver "Fontana" labels. It has 1st press -1L#-1/ 2L#-1 matrix stampers. A genuine UK Mono 1st pressing of this classic late 1950's Jazz LP. These are quite rare.
Sleeve: There is a 3 cm area of moderate rubbing wear at the centre of the bottom edge (Please see photos). This has also caused a 3 cm seam split at that area too. There is a 2.5 cm seam split at the bottom edge - at the sleeve opening. There is some moderate rubbing wear in that area too. There is a very small 0.5 cm seam split at the top edge opening. There is some mild to more moderate fading to the white of the rear sleeve. There are 4 very small stains on a small area of the rear sleeve too. There is a small bit of paper residue at the bottom of the front sleeve - near the opening. VG condition
Vinyl: Firstly, there is a mild or very mild warp. It only really notices when playing Side 1. It does not affect playback at all. Otherwise, there are some light, mild or very mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are two light hairline marks (3 cm and 5 cm). The polythene-lined inner sleeve has left some light or very mild sleeve rubs on some areas. These can hardly be seen under a strong light. VG- condition. The labels are in Near Excellent condition & show light or very mild spindle wear. The company inner sleeve is in VG++ condition. There is some light to very mild ringwear & fading. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays VG+ overall & Near Excellent in some places. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places. There are some intermittent light, mild or very mild clicks at the start of Side 1. They last approximately 30 seconds. Oberall, this is a very reasonable audio copy.
