Description
Artist & Album Description: Miles Davis on trumpet is regarded as one of among the most influential and acclaimed figures in the history of jazz and 20th century music. Kind of Blue has been regarded by many critics as the greatest jazz record, Davis's masterpiece, and one of the best albums of all time.
The album features Davis' ensemble sextet consisting of saxophonists John Coltrane and Julian "Cannonball" Adderley, pianist Bill Evans*, bassist Paul Chambers, and drummer Jimmy Cobb. *Wynton Kelly replaces Bill Evans on the track "Freddie Freeloader".
Record Grading and Condition: VG (Very Good) There is a visible scratch on Side 2 plus a number of other minor scratches on both sides, but the album plays OK with some surface noise audible during quiet passages.
Sleeve Grading: VG (Good) The sleeve has some scuffing at the corners, and the Notes side shows discoloration and wear due to age. There is a plain interior sleeve.
Label & Authentication: CBS Catalogue Number BPG 62066 identifies the disc as a 1962 Re-Issue “Made In England”.
