Description
Miles Davis Kind of Blue Vinyl 1959 Original Album.
The cover grades Vg. All seams intact. Wear to the edges. See pictures. The vinyl grades G+ with a lot of fine scratches. Nothing deep. Plays through nicely with no skips or repeats but you will hear popping throughout. Most noticeably in the quiet passages. This would normally grade Vg on EBay. I know because I bought it that way 3 years ago as an upgrade to my old one. I have listened to this record at least 20 times and can not agree with the Vg rating. Still a nice record though.
Now what I have learned about Kind of Blue through research: 1.The misspelling of Adderly on the cover does not make a record rare. I haven’t found it spelled correctly until later albums. If you find it spelled Adderley on the 6 eye, original album, you may have something. 2. If the record has CBS above the Columbia logo on the vinyl, you have a reissue. 3. The letters on the run out of the vinyl do not mean a whole heck of a lot as far as sounds goes. But for collectors, I’m sure they do. 4. Has to be a 6 eye. 2 eye is a reissue. 5. Look at the promo album. The white one with red writing. Flamenco Sketches Is listing first on the vinyl side 2, not just the cover. Since the promos should be the very first records produced, any record with Flamenco Sketches listed first, should be also. Just my 2 cents to help those like me not get suckered into buying an original when it is not. I have done it with Jazz records many times. Thank you for looking! Any questions about this album or any thing at all, I will be pleased to answer.
