Description

Miles Davis LP, "In Person, Friday Night" (At the Blackhawk, San Francisco), Columbia CS 8469. This has the 6-eyes label (1961.) The jacket is open with the disc SEALED inside the polybag. The disc as seen through the clear bag looks mint, as it should of course. The jacket rates a VG+, with minor dust wear, one light crease and some discoloration along the edges on the back.

U.S. winners pay $3.50 media mail. I do combine winnings to save on mailing cost. For U.S. bidders, win up to four LPs and pay the same, $3.50, for mailing; win five to eight and pay $4. Mailing insurance is optional. International bidders also save considerably on the mailing charge with combined winnings; e-mail me for the rate.

All transactions are guaranteed. Grading is by visual, unless otherwise noted. Please check out my other LPs, all part of a collection of about 500 mostly well-cared for jazz records, much of the collection from the 1950s and 1960s. For the most part, these will be sold over the next weeks alphabetically by artist. A disproportionate number of my LPs are in sealed, mint or near-mint condition largely because they come from the collections of people who formerly worked, or had relatives who worked, at the former Columbia LP pressing plant less than 10 miles from my house. Many of the plant's employees took the LPs home as company freebies, with little interest in actually playing the record. From the '50s into the '80s, the plant produced millions of Columbia records as well as housed records from other labels for distribution.
